- Being involved in all areas of delivery, with the technical gravitas to mentor and inspire the development team, helping your team improve by sharing your own knowledge, experience, and insights;
- Taking ownership of your code every step of the way - from development to deployment and maintenance;
- Diagnosing issues in production and devising solutions for them;
- Being an integral part of solutions design and implementation;
- Challenging business requirements, to ensure you are continuously delivering the best possible outcome;
- Harnessing innovation and driving adoption of new technologies to deliver business value;
- Contributing to shaping our online technology roadmap, influencing our future technical direction, and balancing passion with precision to deliver exceptional online service and solutions for our customers;
- Conducting technical interviews for positions within your area of expertise.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong experience as a Senior Java Developer, with solid knowledge of backend development and experience working on complex, production-level systems.
- Proven hands-on experience running, maintaining, and troubleshooting Shopify integrations in a production environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, including developing and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs.
- Solid hands-on experience with GraphQL, including designing, developing, and maintaining GraphQL APIs.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, ideally including services such as DynamoDB and solutions for secrets management.
- Experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies, ideally in systems where asynchronous communication and event-driven architectures are used.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry and observability practices, including monitoring and tracing distributed applications.
- Fluency in English;
- Mandatory to be located in Portugal;
Working hours
Availability to work 08:00 - 17:00 CET.
