Senior IT Business Analyst

For an international organization in Brussels, Belgium, we are urgently looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst.

EU candidates are welcome to apply. Candidates need to be based in Brussels or willing to relocate. A work permit is not provided.

This position is open to both employees and contractors. Candidates need to be fluent in English.

Travel is not required for the interview process.

• Gather, analyze and document business requirements in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders;
  
• Prepare and maintain clear and structured Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and functional specifications;
  
• Review and approve specifications to ensure alignment with business requirements;
  
• Analyze and model business processes, workflows, use cases and data requirements;
  
• Manage and assess change requests, including their functional impact;
  
• Coordinate and review User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support the resolution of identified issues;
  
• Support release and delivery planning and ensure business readiness;
  
• Monitor progress and report the status of IT modules and deliverables to stakeholders;
  
• Support the preparation of user guidelines, documentation and training materials;
  
• Act as a liaison between business users, Business Analysts, Project Managers and development teams;
  
• Translate business needs into clear requirements that can be implemented by technical teams;
  
• Participate in workshops, working groups, progress meetings and meetings with users;
  
• Prepare and deliver business and technical presentations to different stakeholder groups.
  
  

• Bachelor or Master degree;
  
• +5 years of relevant Business Analysis experience;
  
• Strong experience gathering, analyzing and documenting business and functional requirements;
  
• Strong ability to prepare clear and structured Business Requirements Documents and functional specifications;
  
• Good knowledge of business analysis and modelling techniques, including use cases, state diagrams, Entity Relationship Models (ERD) and interaction diagrams;
  
• Good knowledge of BPMN and/or UML or equivalent modelling standards;
  
• Experience with Enterprise Architect is an advantage;
  
• Good understanding of administrative and business processes within large and complex organizations;
  
• Experience coordinating or supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT);
  
• Agile certification is considered a plus;
  
• Fluent in English.
