OverviewAmyx is seeking a Senior ICAM architect and Application Security Integration Lead to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)  by leading the architecture, design, and integration of Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) capabilities across enterprise applications and mission systems. This position serves as the technical lead for application onboarding, identity architecture, authentication and authorization strategies, access governance models, and enterprise integration patterns. The architect works closely with government stakeholders, application owners, cybersecurity personnel, engineers, and developers to establish secure, scalable, and compliant identity solutions that support current operational requirements, modernization efforts, and future Department of Defense enterprise identity initiatives. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in enterprise architecture, identity and access management, application integration, security design, and requirements analysis, with the ability to balance mission needs, security requirements, and long-term strategic objectives. Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of enterprise ICAM architectures supporting mission systems, enterprise applications, and future modernization initiatives.
  • Define and document functional, technical, security, and integration requirements for application onboarding and identity services.
  • Collaborate with application owners, stakeholders, and technical teams to develop authentication, authorization, access governance, and provisioning strategies.
  • Design and recommend identity integration patterns, security architectures, and implementation approaches supporting enterprise systems.
  • Evaluate application architectures and identify ICAM requirements, integration dependencies, and security considerations.
  • Develop architecture diagrams, workflow models, integration designs, and technical recommendations.
  • Guide implementation of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), access governance, privileged access management, and segregation of duties principles.
  • Ensure ICAM solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and DoD identity management objectives.
  • Support enterprise modernization efforts, future identity initiatives, and application integration activities across the AMPS environment.
  • Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and consultation to engineers, developers, analysts, and government stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Sensitivity Level: Non-Critical Sensitive
  • Must possess or be able to obtain an IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive (Tier 3/T3) determination prior to onboarding.
  • Must possess DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in systems architecture, enterprise architecture, or systems engineering.
  • 5+ years of Identity and Access Management (IAM/ICAM) implementation, integration, or architecture experience.
  • Experience developing enterprise architecture solutions supporting large-scale systems and applications.
  • Experience defining authentication, authorization, access governance, and identity management requirements.
  • Experience evaluating application architectures and developing integration strategies.
  • Experience creating architecture diagrams, technical designs, workflows, and implementation guidance.
  • Experience supporting application onboarding and enterprise system integrations.
  • Experience with access governance, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), segregation of duties, and privileged access management concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems design skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Master's degree in a technical discipline.
  • 15+ years of systems architecture, engineering, enterprise architecture, or ICAM experience.
  • Experience developing enterprise identity architectures within DoD, federal, or large enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Oracle Identity Manager (OIM), Oracle Access Manager (OAM), or similar enterprise IAM platforms.
  • Experience with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), access governance, RBAC, and privileged access management.
  • Experience supporting identity modernization initiatives, federated identity solutions, and Zero Trust architectures.
  • Experience supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Department of Defense (DoD), or other federal government customers.
  • Experience leading technical teams and providing enterprise architecture guidance.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, SABSA, Security+, or IAM/ICAM certifications.
