JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Electrical Architect (SEA), InnoTech leads the electrical architecture and hardware design efforts for advanced automotive technologies, with a primary focus on camera, display, and controller systems. This highly visible role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership to develop innovative, high-performance hardware solutions.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in electrical system design, a curiosity for emerging technologies, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams. The SEA oversees schematic development, PCB layout, component engineering, and signal, power, and thermal integrity analysis to ensure robust, scalable, and industry-leading product designs.


PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead electrical architecture and hardware development for next-generation technology platforms.
  • Lead specialists in schematic design, PCB layout, component engineering, and hardware simulation.
  • Develop technical solutions that meet customer requirements and support RFQ responses.
  • Define electrical architectures, technology roadmaps, and design standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Functional Safety and Cybersecurity requirements.
  • Drive component selection, qualification, and lifecycle strategy.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and components.
  • Partner with suppliers to identify innovative solutions and benchmark industry trends.
  • Collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Optics teams to deliver integrated product solutions.
  • Support cross-functional development activities from concept through production launch.
  • Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across product development programs.
  • Optimize designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Bachelor of Science required in electrical engineering, or similar field
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, or similar field, preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in an Electrical or Hardware Architect role
  • Knowledge of ADAS applications and sensor set; Automotive experience required
  • Solid understanding of digital circuit block design and their integration into products
  • Familiarity with all faculty tools
  • Good knowledge of Functional Safety and ASPICE standards
  • Basic coding and modelling skill with MATLAB/Simulink/Python/C preferred
    Versed in using AI tools

LOCATION AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Up to 10% travel required for this position

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Relocation assistance is not offered for this position, and candidates must reside within a commutable distance to Novi, Michigan
  • This role requires on-site presence a minimum of three (3) days per week, with the option to work remotely two (2) days per weekundefined
