About Golden Flash
Golden Flash is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our engineering team and help build, improve, and scale our operational technology platform.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys working across the frontend, backend, databases, integrations, and cloud infrastructure. You’ll have significant ownership over features and technical improvements and will work closely with technical leadership to deliver reliable, maintainable software.
We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of complex problems, investigate issues independently, and turn business requirements into production-ready solutions.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain full-stack features across frontend applications, backend services, and APIs.
- Design and improve data-ingestion workflows involving APIs, SFTP, object storage, and file uploads.
- Develop data validation, normalization, transformation, and error-handling workflows.
- Build and maintain background jobs, scheduled tasks, and automated processing pipelines.
- Design reliable workflows with appropriate handling for retries, duplicate processing, time zones, and business calendars.
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and PostgreSQL databases.
- Design and implement database migrations while protecting data integrity.
- Work with historical records, versioned data, snapshots, and audit trails.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and server-side access controls.
- Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for business-critical functionality.
- Investigate production issues across application code, databases, APIs, and external integrations.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, releases, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with technical and infrastructure teams on deployments, upgrades, and production reliability.
- Help improve engineering processes, observability, reliability, and developer productivity.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong full-stack development experience.
- Proven ability to independently deliver production-quality features.
- Strong backend and frontend development skills.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating external systems.
- Experience with background processing, scheduled jobs, queues, and asynchronous workflows.
- Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure software development.
- Experience writing automated tests and working with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across application, database, and integration layers.
- Ability to understand existing systems quickly and make thoughtful improvements without introducing unnecessary complexity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small engineering team.
Nice to Have
- Experience with financial technology, investment operations, or data-intensive B2B applications.
- Experience building and deploying applications on AWS.
- Experience with customer-specific or multi-tenant application environments.
- Familiarity with configurable or metadata-driven applications.
- Experience working with historical, effective-dated, or append-only data.
- Experience with document-processing and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Experience addressing security assessment findings and improving application security.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
- Experience with Python, Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Go, or similar backend technologies.
What You'll Accomplish in Your First 90 Days
