About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Front-End Developer who builds fast, polished, maintainable user interfaces.
You will own the client side of our applications — from component architecture and state to performance and
testing — and work closely with our backend (Python) and design teams.
We are open on framework: we want real production depth in Angular or React. What matters is that you can
reason from first principles about components, state, rendering and performance, rather than following one
framework's recipes. Our products use both, so you should be willing to work in the one you know less well.
This is a builder's role. You should be comfortable writing clean, typed TypeScript, reasoning about how and when
your UI re-renders, and shipping complex interfaces that hold up in production.
What You'll Do
•Design, build, and maintain front-end applications in Angular or React — components, state, routing, and data
flow.
•Write clean, reactive code using modern patterns — RxJS and Angular Signals, or React hooks and a data-
fetching layer such as React Query.
•Own front-end performance: rendering and change detection, bundle size, and load time.
•Build complex, data-heavy UIs and forms with robust validation.
•Integrate and consume REST APIs, handling loading, error, and edge states cleanly.
•Write meaningful front-end unit tests for the components you ship.
•Uphold UI/UX consistency and mentor less experienced developers.
What We're Looking For
This is a senior front-end role — we expect real depth in at least one major framework, not surface familiarity with
several.
•5+ years of relevant, hands-on front-end development experience.
•Angular or React — genuine production experience with components, state management, forms, routing, and
data flow. Depth in one is required; experience in both is a plus.
•Strong TypeScript, and solid HTML/CSS with responsive, cross-browser layouts.
•Ability to reason about and fix rendering performance — change detection in Angular, or re-render and
memoisation behaviour in React.
•Reactive and asynchronous data flow — RxJS streams, or hooks, effects and async state in React.
•Front-end testing (Jasmine/Karma, Jest, Vitest, or React Testing Library).
•Comfort consuming REST APIs and working with Git.
•Willingness to work in the other framework — if you are an Angular developer we expect you to pick up React,
and the other way round.
This Role Is Not a Fit If…
•You have not built and shipped a real production application in either Angular or React.
•You write only basic HTML/CSS with no real framework or TypeScript depth.
•You will only work in one framework and are not open to the other.
•You cannot reason about rendering performance or why your UI updates when it does.
•You have no experience writing front-end tests.
Nice to Have
•Production experience in both Angular and React.
•Angular Signals, or modern React patterns (Server Components, Suspense).
•State management at scale — NgRx, Redux, Zustand, or similar.
•Next.js, or Angular SSR / hydration.
•A strong eye for design and accessibility (a11y).
•Some familiarity with the backend (Python / REST / AWS).
