Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Job Purpose: Analytical Analysis and Reporting for all aspects
Job Duties:
- Track financial status by monitoring and researching variances from plan.
- Determines financial status by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results.
- Improves financial status by analyzing results and variances; identifying trends; recommending actions.
- Assist with conversion from Standard Costing and develop reporting and analysis of Actual Costing.
- Increases productivity by developing automated applications; eliminating duplications; coordinating information requirements.
- Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations. Analyze financial reports and translate them into concise summaries for management.
- Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts. Preparation of financial models to support different budget and forecast scenarios.
- Identify and rectify any data classification issues, reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
- Financial diagnosis & proactive identification of anomalies in financial and operational reporting. Recommend and implement analytical tools and techniques in the planning and analysis area.
- Become a Subject Matter Expert in SyteLine and CPM and educate and train managers in the use of Dashboards and SyteLine reports. Make changes in SyteLine as needed for forecasts and budgets. Maintain and create new projects.
- Develops studies/recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement programs as requested by CEO, Finance Department or division management.
- Provides assistance to operating management in assigned areas to facilitate proper implementation and control of budgeted plans and objectives. Reports on actual performance compared with budget on a monthly basis.
- Work with the Global group in successful implementation of consolidated SyteLine systems and global reporting requirements.
Skills/Qualifications: Strong analytical skills and critical and creative thinking. Relationship and communication skills are required to liaise with Department Leaders, Senior Management, Operations, and other Finance function teams. Involvement in various special and ad hoc assignments will be required. Willingness to professionally challenge historical practices.\
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a service industry is a plus.
