Job SummaryQualifications and Requirements
We are hiring two Senior Financial Analysts to support a high‑visibility defense research and development portfolio. One position is designated as Key Personnel. These roles are central to building and managing complex budgets, generating accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting program documentation that informs senior‑level decision‑making.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Financial Analyst, you will provide end‑to‑end financial management support to a portfolio of advanced research programs. You will generate and route a variety of funding and procurement requests, ensuring they are complete, compliant, and aligned with applicable financial regulations and organizational policies. You will develop and maintain program plans and recurring financial reviews, making sure that all documentation is accurate, internally consistent, and delivered in the required formats and timelines.
You will build and manage office‑ and program‑level budgets using technical inputs and information from contracting agents, performers, and other stakeholders. A significant part of your work will involve preparing monthly execution reports that track forecasts, commitments, obligations, and expenditures, and using these insights to help keep programs within approved technical, schedule, and cost parameters. You will consolidate financial data into higher‑level summaries and narratives, including annual budget justification materials, and respond to ad hoc information requests with clear, well‑supported analyses and recommendations.
In addition, you may assist with managing travel and other cost elements within the portfolio, contributing to plans that balance mission needs with budget constraints. You will collaborate closely with program managers, administrative staff, and analytic teams to ensure that financial information is consistent across documents and that leadership receives concise, reliable financial insight to support informed decision‑making.
