The Role
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to found and lead our Jaipur office. You will balance technical delivery with team and operational leadership: contributing to architecture and code, while hiring, mentoring and establishing engineering processes and local operations. You will partner closely with product, consulting and architecture teams in Australia and act as a trusted technical advisor to onshore team and our clients.
What You’ll Do
• Technical leadership and delivery
- Lead design and development of scalable SaaS/PaaS products on Microsoft Azure using .NET, React and Power BI as required.
- Drive code quality, performance, security and observability best practices.
- Make and document architectural decisions, patterns and engineering standards in consultation with the onshore team.
• Client engagement and pre-sales
- Collaborate with onshore architects and consultants to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Lead solution design sessions and technical workshops.
• People leadership and team building
- Hire, mentor and coach engineers; develop career pathways and a growth-oriented culture.
- Establish and own engineering processes: agile ceremonies, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, testing and monitoring.
• Establishing the Jaipur office
- Set up local engineering operations including hiring and onboarding staff.
- Partner with the Australia head office on HR, legal and administrative processes.
- Champion Antares’ culture and collaboration practices across locations.
• Innovation and continuous improvement
- Stay current with Microsoft cloud technologies, AI/ML capabilities and frontend frameworks, and drive adoption of appropriate technologies.
- Promote best practices, platform reliability and engineering excellence across the team.
About You
• Proven experience developing and delivering .NET applications on Microsoft Azure (3–8+ years preferred).
• Strong frontend experience with React or Angular; interest in AI enabled applications and modern web architectures.
• Demonstrated experience across full project lifecycle: presales, design, implementation and delivery.
• Prior experience leading, mentoring or hiring engineering teams, or clear potential to grow into an effective people manager.
• Excellent communication skills — able to present technical concepts clearly to stakeholders across time zones and cultures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and pragmatic decision-making in ambiguous environments.
• Experience working with onshore distributed teams and cross-cultural collaboration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies – M365, Graph, Teams, Power Platform and other Azure services App Services, Functions, AKS, SQL/Cosmos DB, DevOps pipelines is highly regarded.
• Experience setting up or scaling teams or offices, including hiring and operational setup, is a strong advantage.
