The Position:

The Senior Electromechanical Engineer, Medical Devices will work with our cross-functional Systems Engineering teams to develop FDA-regulated medical devices that delivers diagnostic results that are clear and actionable. You will be counted on to contribute to realizing a product that is intuitive, reliable, and secure. The primary responsibilities include the conceptualization, design, and testing of electromechanical equipment and systems. This role involves collaboration with other engineers and professionals to create system specifications and detailed technical designs.

 

            Responsibilities:

 

  • Designing and testing components such as sensors, actuators, and other electromechanical devices within our systems.
  • Creating accurate project and technical documentation, including schematics, technical reports, and operational manuals.
  • Implementing and refining automation processes
  • Collaboration with software engineers to integrate electronic control systems into mechanical frameworks.
  • Conducting practical investigations to adopt the latest technologies and improve system performance in conjunction with cross-functional technical teams.
  • Perform detailed analysis to test the viability and integration of new technologies in our current systems.
  • Work closely with the internal and external teams to implement systems, engineering changes, and refinement of manufacturing processes where necessary.

 

 

            Education, Experience and Demonstrated Skills:


  • MSc in engineering (e.g., Systems, Biomedical, Mechatronics, Electronics) or related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a regulated industry where Quality Systems are essential, e.g., ISO 13485.
  • Expert knowledge of microcontrollers, embedded firmware development/debugging of scripts and programs.
  • Experience of using CAD software (e.g., Altium, SolidWorks) for electromechanical designs towards manufacture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation within labs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision

Skills Required
