CONVO is seeking a Senior Data Architect to own the data architecture and knowledge-graph foundation supporting its CPG-focused agentic platform. You’ll design canonical data models, knowledge-graph structures, and versioned data contracts across CUBE and downstream data products, with hands-on expertise in Neo4j, TigerGraph, semantic modeling, and schema governance. You’ll work closely with data engineering, AI, and application teams to ensure consistent business semantics, scalable data structures, and controlled schema evolution across the platform.
Technical missionOwn the Enriched CUBE schemas, CPG knowledge-graph model and data-contract standards, and chair the schema gate for changes shared across pods.
Key responsibilities- Define canonical CPG entities, relationships, dimensional models and knowledge-graph structures.
- Own versioned data contracts from RAW through CUBE and into downstream APIs and data products.
- Chair schema reviews, assess compatibility and approve migration/deprecation plans.
- Design graph persistence and query patterns using Neo4j, TigerGraph or a comparable platform.
- Align batch, streaming and feature-serving representations so key business definitions remain consistent.
- Document architecture decisions, modelling standards and conformance tests.
- Minimum experience: 8+ years in data architecture or enterprise data modelling, including 3+ years with graph databases, semantic models or knowledge graphs.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Neo4j, TigerGraph or equivalent property-graph technology.
- Strong dimensional modelling and semantic modelling experience.
- Design and governance of versioned data contracts and schema evolution.
- Knowledge of CPG/retail data domains, including products, customers, stores, promotions, pricing and hierarchies.
- Ability to translate business semantics into scalable logical and physical data models.
- Architecture leadership across data engineering, application and AI consumers.
- GraphQL/gRPC interfaces over semantic or graph data.
- Data mesh, data-product governance and automated contract testing.
- Databricks/Delta Lake and streaming integration patterns.
- Approved canonical CUBE and knowledge-graph models.
- Versioned data-contract catalogue with compatibility and deprecation rules.
- Schema-gate process, review templates and automated conformance criteria.
- Migration plans for current data structures into the target architecture.
- Works with the Commercial Semantics Guild, Senior Data Engineers, Pod 1 ontology/agent teams, Pod 3 consumers and the Architecture Office.
- Great compensation package, medical benefit for you and your family, free lunch, annual performance-tied increments & performance recognition awards and a great lean and agile work culture!
- Convo endorses a culture of diversity in all aspects and aims to build a diverse team of amazing individuals!
