Department OverviewThe Response, Reporting & Evidence SW group delivers solutions to the public safety sector. Our products allow customers to respond effectively in mission-critical operating environments. The group is committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. This opportunity is within the Apps team, responsible to provide an easy to use method to access solutions such as the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) or the Records Management Systems (RMS) from the convenience of a smartphone or tablet. Monitoring of agency calls, anywhere and at any time, providing users with a quick way to see whether officers have arrived on the scene. Real-time updates by viewing all active incidents and any assigned units. Increased safety by displaying alert warnings, helping responders know whether they need to approach a situation with extra caution or if they need to call in backup. Attachment of photos or documents to a record or report directly from hand-held devices. Also, barcode reader applications for controlling movements of inmates and evidence in Jails and Agencies.
Apps team is looking for a Senior Cross-Platform Mobile Developer to build applications compatible with Android and iOS platforms. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small team with a critical skill set. You will directly contribute to the full lifecycle of projects.
Job Description

• Develop mobile Android and iOS applications.
• Coordinate with a small, cross-functional team to test and support different applications.
• Collaborate with other team members in an agile environment.
• Drive development best practices, including unit testing, coding standards, and code reviews.
• Identify, propose and implement best-fit solutions in a complex business environment.
• Apply corporate technical standards, procedures, and policies to resolve incidents and issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure technical solutions meet business needs and customer satisfaction with the delivered solution.
• Assure a high standard of quality in your own work and peers on your team via process improvements, clean designs, smart testing, and review practices.
• Own the entire lifecycle process of the solution (design, develop, test, review, and document).

Basic Requirements

• Advanced English.
• Experience developing complex mobile apps.
• Significant experience with a range of the following core technologies:
• Flutter, Cordova, Ionic, AngularJs, Angular 2, Typescript.
• Designing, implementing and maintaining an application codebase.
• Experience in building efficient user interfaces to a specification.
• Use of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
• Writing and maintaining unit tests and environment configuration.
• BS or MS in Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.

Nice to have:

• Public safety experience, interest or connection to police, fire, medical emergency.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale mobile app solutions.
• Designing and developing well-tested and high performing cross-platform mobile applications using the Ionic platform.
• Build management using TeamCity.
• Google Firebase.
