Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior C++ Engineer with cloud experience to join our team and help design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications that would be a part of a huge enterprise SaaS solution. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C++ and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred). You will play a key role in driving technical solutions, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality code delivery in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance cross-platform native C++ modules for cloud and mobile systems, including modernizing legacy codebases to modern C++
- Optimize multi-threaded applications, low-latency operations, and memory management
- Diagnose and resolve complex software defects, race conditions, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks
- Integrate C++ components with services provided by the Firmware Team
- Take ownership of automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for cloud-native containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Implement and enforce security best practices across all software components.
- Coach and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical leadership
- Drive standardization and automation across environments and projects
- Ensure code quality, reusability, and maintainability through engineering best practices and code reviews
- 6+ years of proven expertise in C++ development
- Mastery of modern C++ standards, memory management (RAII, smart pointers) and multi-threading
- Knowledge in the key principles of Object-Oriented Programming: Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstraction and Encapsulation
- Strong command of data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals.
- Strong analytical mindset to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve multi-threading or performance bottlenecks.
- Ability to evaluate code using Big O notation to ensure optimal CPU and memory usage under heavy loads
- Strong understanding of development and debugging on Linux and Windows environments
- Proficiency with build systems (CMake) and version control (Git)
- Experience in working with microservices and containerized architectures
- Conceptual understanding of cloud architectures and system design
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitHub Actions)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A passion for coaching others and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Nice to have
- Experience with .NET / C# and interop technologies
- Experience with solutions hosted in AKS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code - Preferably Terraform
- Experience with IoT (Internet of Things) based systems would be a huge advantage
- Background in migrating legacy/on-prem desktop applications to modern cloud/SaaS architectures.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
