This position may be located in Arlington, VA (Headquarters), Washington D.C., Pentagon, Springfield, VA., Chantilly, VA., Tysons Corner, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Support a new, fast-paced, high visibility client in making data-driven decisions.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of your clients and their needs; overall project objectives and their relationship to client needs; how your work fits in achieving project objectives; how other project team members’ work relates to your work and project objectives (i.e., acquire situational awareness).
  • Collect, organize, evaluate and understand the context of quantitative and non-quantitative data required to solve a particular client problem.
  • Develop/Implement the methodology or approach to address a particular client problem. This could require use of quantitative techniques such as regression, optimization and simulation; visualization techniques; and other techniques.
  • Strong understanding of and ability to formulate key performance indicators and business intelligence metrics to assist stakeholders in gaining a greater understanding of organizational performance.
  • Have the ability to translate requirements from a diverse group of stakeholders including system owners, process owners, direct accounting data owners, end users into actionable requests for new or modified reports built from existing or newly gathered data.
  • Implement a robust program management solution to manage capability development performance, including the schedule, budget, and risk mitigation.
  • Prepare written documentation (e.g., technical reports, presentations) describing the data and analytical techniques used, results produced and associated insights and recommendations
  • Verbally explain/defend in-process and completed work to colleagues and clients in informal and formal settings
  • Develop proficiency in various software applications to support solving client problems in an efficient, repeatable, intuitive, and transparent manner
  • Train/guide less experienced team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Minimum of 12 years of quantitative analysis and problem-solving experience
  • Experience utilizing PowerBI, Tableau, and/or other data analytics/visualization tools
  • Self-starter who is creative, inquisitive and quantitative and enjoys solving challenging problems in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical work in writing and verbally
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work products at the same time
  • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens
  • Active Secret Clearance
