As a The NPI Program Manager (Senior Advanced Project Engineer) leads complex New Product Introduction and product enhancement programs from initiation through delivery. Working with cross-functional product development teams, the role partners with Product and Offering Managers, Engineering Managers, and business stakeholders to define scope, plans, milestones, budgets, dependencies, risks, governance, and operational readiness.
The role ensures that program outcomes meet business objectives, customer needs, quality standards, and data and security requirements while driving stakeholder alignment, change management, performance reporting, and corrective action.
You will report directly to our Director Engineering Program Management, and you’ll work out of our Atlanta, GA location on a Hybrid work schedule.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and manage the NPI programs for Connected Industrials business (scope, plan milestones, budget, dependencies, risks, and change impacts) and engage the governance cadence (steering committee, business leadership, change control, program reporting, risk management, cost management, capitalization, delivery and operational readiness).
- Drive implementation and delivery of program outcomes ensuring alignment to business problems, customer needs, quality requirement and data/security requirements.
- Build and maintain a detailed program plan including schedule, scope, cost, risk mitigation plans with SBG functional team members; adopt systems to track and measure progress, success metrics, and realization tracking (on-time, on-cost, on -scope, on-quality and user satisfaction).
- Ensure engagement of functional stakeholders who may not be part of the assigned program team but are essential to the success of the program (sales, customer support, customer success, marketing, finance, engineering operations, digital operations and others)
- Use change-management and communication processes to ensure changes are identified, assessed, approved, managed, and communicated to all impacted stakeholders.
- Adopt defined organizational processes, align them with program objectives, and obtain the support required from organizational stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and assess program risks, and work with stakeholders to define and execute mitigation plans that minimize impacts to program objectives.
- Engage and coordinate external resources, including contracted services, subject-matter experts, licenses, and infrastructure.
- Track and report program health and outcomes using dashboards, and drive corrective actions to ensure successful delivery.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to perform root-cause analysis for major deviations from program plans and outcomes, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in annual product-development budget planning, product roadmap definition and communication, software capitalization, and related initiatives that improve product-development effectiveness.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Master’s degree (MBA/MS) is a plus
- 10+ years of experience leading complex product-development, NPI, and product-enhancement programs in a matrix environment
- 4+ years' experience in Building integrated program plans covering milestones, scope, cost, resource needs, dependencies, risk mitigation, quality, and operational readiness.
- 4+ years' experience in Coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, product management, sales, customer support, marketing, finance, operations, data, security, and compliance.
