As a Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing operations.


You will report directly to our Sr Director Advanced Manufacturing Engineer and matrix reporting to Freeport, IL site leader, and you’ll work out of our Freeport, IL location on a 100% On-site work schedule.


In this role, you will impact the manufacturing excellence of Honeywell’s products by applying advanced engineering principles and technologies to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Collaborate with product design, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and process capability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and standard work while ensuring compliance with control plans.
Qualifications

You Must Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process optimization techniques, and automation skill set, including experience with industrial controls, automated equipment, data acquisition, programming/scripting, process optimization, and integration of smart manufacturing technologies to improve quality, throughput, and operational efficiency.
  • Proficient in programming languages, including but not limited to LabVIEW, Python, and SQL
  • Extensive experience with test systems
  • Proficiency with data analysis methodologies to support process improvements.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing concepts.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM), testability, and failure mode identification.
  • Knowledge of Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR).
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO and AS9100.

The salary range for this position is ($102,000 - $127,000). Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
