We are seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial information, prepare financial reports, budgets, and statements, analyze financial data, and support the finance team and CFO. This position demands a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, preferably with experience in the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable sales tax laws, rules, and regulations.
- Regularly review financial plans and budgets for cost reduction opportunities and support cost accounting for manufacturing.
- Develop and implement new procedures and features to enhance the department's workflow.
- File census and other information reports as required.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analyze financial statements for discrepancies and issues.
- Support the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, census reports, and employee expense reports.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Understanding and experience with cost accounting principles and techniques for manufacturing.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software, payroll processes, Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing financial documents.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
