Job Description

Are you a Scrum Master who would like to work at an innovative and fast-paced company changing the way doctors interact with their patients? If so, we want to talk to you!

What you'll be doing: 

• Works with product managers and development teams to assure requirements are captured and recorded using the appropriate agile methodology, such as Scrum, Kanban

• Works as a Scrum Master within the teams to effectively fulfill project objectives.

• Develops a deep knowledge of all aspects of the project, helps define priorities and effectively manages planning, execution, and monitoring to successful conclusion.

• Facilitates Sprint Planning, Release Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Product Demos and Sprint Retrospectives

• Manage and effectively deliver features committed to for the Release Train.

• Supports Product Owner in developing, maintaining and grooming Product Backlog

• Removes impediments/blockers in order to keep teams productive

• Identifies and manages dependencies with other internal or external teams

• Provides metrics and status to leadership, program manager and project sponsors

• Support/Collaborate with team members to implement Agile/Scrum best practices Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions

• Diligently prepare and collate project progress/status, issues & risks

• Meticulously track action items and drive them to closure

• Development capacity planning and helping in release scheduling

• Initiates, builds, and maintains good relationships with IT and business management to help facilitate effective completion of project work.

• Prepares project status reports, burndowns, and keeps management, project sponsors and project stakeholders informed of project status and related issues.

• Adept at creating strong relationships that foster the spirit of innovation, improvement, and collaborative solutions and developments.

• Ability to quickly grasp technology concepts and communicate with external teams and stakeholders

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and an iterative design process.

• Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.

Qualifications

We want our people to be set up for success, so we have a few required skill sets that must be met: 

• A minimum of 3 years of Scrum Master experience using Agile methodologies

• Strong professional experience in Agile development

• Strong technical aptitude and hands on experience working with technical teams

• Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills

• Excellent leadership and communications skills required.

• Experience working in a matrix team consisting of contractors, teammates and vendors with various skills and disciplines.

• Self-starter with high energy to meet the needs of a demanding business and IT environment.

• Demonstrated strong business acumen to complement strong tactical execution skills.

• Certified Scrum Master 

• Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills

• High level of comfort with explicitly taking accountability and holding appropriate parties accountable

• Experience with communication tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Pages, VersionOne or similar Agile Portfolio Management Solution (Confluence, Jira, Greenhooper)

• Understanding and knowledge of unique factors and challenges of software development

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of Scrum Master experience using Agile methodologies
