Our client is an SAP consulting partner delivering S/4HANA and SAP BTP projects for international clients, including the energy sector. They’re looking for a senior developer to strengthen their core team long-term. You’ll build clean-core solutions hands-on and advise their clients on architecture.
What you’ll do
- Design and build extensions with ABAP Cloud and RAP, both on S/4HANA and in the SAP BTP ABAP Environment
- Develop side-by-side applications with CAP (Node.js or Java) on SAP BTP
- Recommend the right extension approach for each requirement: key-user, developer (on-stack) or side-by-side extensibility, in line with SAP’s clean core principles
- Run workshops with clients’ business and IT teams, propose target architecture and translate requirements into technical design
- Build embedded analytics: analytical CDS views, queries and KPI apps
- Deliver Fiori Elements and SAPUI5 front ends
- Set development standards, review code and mentor other developers
Requirements
- Several years of commercial SAP development, including project experience (not only training) with ABAP Cloud and RAP: managed and unmanaged scenarios, draft, actions, validations, released APIs
- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP: ABAP Environment, CAP, and connectivity and integration services
- Practical knowledge of key-user extensibility: custom fields and logic, custom CDS views, custom business objects
- Experience with S/4HANA Embedded Analytics
- Solid Fiori Elements and SAPUI5 skills
- Experience advising clients: leading workshops, presenting architecture options and defending design decisions
- English C1

- SAP certifications: Back-End Developer – ABAP Cloud, CAP or BTP Solution Architect
- AI-assisted development: agentic coding tools, SAP Joule for developers, MCP-based workflows
- Experience with S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
- Experience in energy or other asset-intensive industries (SAP PM/EAM)

Skills Required
