An international company, active across multiple countries, is looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead an S/4HANA release upgrade project, based in the Zurich area (50% on site).
You will take overall ownership of the project, leading a cross-functional project team, and working directly with the steering committee and stakeholders across several departments and countries.
This position is open to freelance also.
Key responsibilities:
- Overall project management of the SAP S/4 upgrade project
- Plan and monitor the project, prepare steering committee materials
- Align with other projects and departments to clarify dependencies
- Communicate with stakeholders
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation (project plans, status reports, decision logs, risk registers, steering committee materials)
Requirements
- 10+ years of SAP experience, including a proven track record managing SAP S/4HANA release upgrade projects
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver within scope, time, and budget
- Solid technical understanding of upgrade-related concepts (client concept, freeze periods, dependencies with other projects and systems)
- Experience with large-scale, multi-business-unit, multi-country landscapes is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills; the project runs in English, German is a strong plus
