SAP ABAP Consulant

Title: SAP ABAP Developer
Location: McKinley West, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig
Work arrangement: Remote

• Note: Must be able to go to Fort Bonifacio, Taguig office for equipment issuance and important events as needed.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated SAP ABAP Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of hands-on experience in ABAP development with a strong understanding of SAP SD, MM, and FICO modules. This role involves working closely with functional consultants, project managers, and technical leads to deliver robust, scalable solutions. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of reviewing and optimizing their own code.

ABAP Development and Troubleshooting:

• Design, develop, test, and implement low to medium, and occasionally complex ABAP programs based on functional specifications.
• Execute ABAP programming, including RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms), BAPI, RFC, and IDocs.
• Troubleshoot and debug code issues during development, testing, and go-live support.
• Conduct technical prototyping and analysis on new or complex requirements.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with functional consultants and technical leads to deliver high-quality ABAP code and solutions.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve defects, ensuring optimized system performance.
• Participate in ABAP estimations for project requirements and timelines.
• Ensure clear communication of status, risks, and dependencies with Project Lead/Manager.

Best Practices and Documentation:

• Adhere to best coding practices and company standards to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Perform own code reviews and assist with peer reviews as needed.
• Document technical designs, testing procedures, and development outputs for future reference.

• Bachelor’s/College degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of ABAP development experience in SAP SD, MM, and FICO modules.
• Proficiency in ABAP programming tools, including RICEF, BAPI, RFC, and IDocs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and optimize code.
• Experience in technical design documentation and delivering clean, maintainable solutions.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proactive in identifying issues, risks, and recommending improvements.
