CEMIX Concrete, a leading supplier of ready-mix concrete and aggregates, is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Sales Executive.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, increasing sales revenue, and promoting the Company's products and services within the construction and commercial sectors.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Business Development & Sales Growth
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities for ready-mix concrete, aggregates, and other products and services offered by the company.
• Actively prospect for new customers within the residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, engineers, architects, quantity surveyors, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
• Develop strategies to increase market share, sales volumes, and profitability within assigned territories.
• Attend pre-construction meetings, site visits, and project planning sessions to identify upcoming opportunities.
• Promote the Company’s products and services through presentations, demonstrations, networking activities, and customer engagement initiatives.
• Monitor construction activity and market developments to identify emerging business opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management
• Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Conduct routine site visits to monitor project progress and address customer concerns.
• Provide technical and commercial information regarding concrete specifications, product applications, delivery schedules, and service capabilities.
• Liaise with customers to understand project requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Resolve customer complaints and service issues promptly and professionally.
• Foster long-term relationships that contribute to customer retention and account growth.
Quotations, Contracts & Order Management
• Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and pricing recommendations in accordance with Company guidelines.
• Follow up on all quotations submitted to maximize conversion rates.
• Review customer requirements and coordinate with Operations, Dispatch, Quality Control, and Production teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure customer orders are accurately recorded and communicated to the relevant departments.
• Monitor project schedules and customer demand to ensure continuity of supply and service delivery.
• Assist in negotiating pricing, payment terms, and service agreements within approved limits.
Credit Control & Account Management
• Monitor customer accounts and outstanding receivables.
• Work closely with the Accounts Department to assist in the collection of overdue balances.
• Conduct regular reviews of customer credit exposure and escalate concerns to Management.
• Ensure customers adhere to agreed payment terms.
• Assist in reducing bad debt exposure by maintaining proactive communication with customers regarding outstanding accounts.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Support
• Monitor competitor pricing, products, market trends, and industry developments.
• Provide Management with market intelligence and recommendations to improve competitiveness.
• Identify opportunities for product diversification, customer expansion, and operational improvements.
• Participate in the development and implementation of sales and marketing initiatives.
• Assist Management with annual sales forecasting and budgeting exercises.
Health, Safety & Compliance
• Comply with all Company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Observe all site safety requirements when conducting customer visits and inspections.
• Ensure appropriate PPE is worn while visiting operational facilities and customer sites.
• Report hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions observed during site visits.
• Promote safe work practices and responsible environmental stewardship.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• A degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to conduct regular site visits.
• A proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing customer relationships.
• Experience working with contractors, developers, consultants, and construction professionals would be an asset.
