About the role

Urban SDK is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who will play an integral role in our growth and customer acquisition efforts. In this role, you will be the front line of our sales organization, identifying prospects, building relationships, and setting up the foundation for future sales success. As an SDR, you will gain comprehensive sales training and development, with the clear goal of advancing into a full-time sales role.


This position is ideal for someone eager to learn the sales process, build lasting relationships with key decision-makers, and develop their career within a fast-paced, innovative tech company. You will work closely with the sales and account teams, and your success will be measured by the quality and volume of leads generated, as well as your ability to develop into a future sales leader.


Responsibilities

  1. Lead Generation and Qualification:
    1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of Urban SDK’s products, services, and market positioning.
    2. Use cold calling, emailing, and outreach tools (HubSpot, Apollo, ZoomInfo) to identify and engage new leads.
    3. Qualify prospects by understanding their needs and positioning the best Urban SDK solutions to meet those needs.
    4. Manage and nurture a pipeline of leads, ensuring ongoing communication and relationship-building to move prospects through the sales funnel.
  2. Sales Training and Development:
    1. Participate in hands-on sales training and coaching to develop your understanding of the sales process, including lead generation, qualification, and deal progression.
    2. Collaborate closely with the sales team and attend sales meetings to gain exposure to advanced sales strategies.
    3. Work towards a promotion to a full-time sales executive role through demonstrated performance and successful lead generation.
  3. Upward Mobility and Sales Career Growth:
    1. This role is designed as a stepping stone for individuals aiming to advance into a full-time sales position.
    2. As an SDR, you will be coached and mentored to become a successful sales executive, manage your own accounts, and contribute to Urban SDK’s growth.
    3. Show initiative and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities, such as assisting in product demonstrations and client meetings, to accelerate your development.
  4. Collaboration and Relationship Building:
    1. Build strong, trusting relationships with potential customers, understanding their business challenges and goals.
    2. Set up meetings and calls between qualified prospects and Urban SDK’s sales executives.
    3. Work closely with the customer success, implementation, and sales teams to ensure a smooth transition from lead qualification to full customer onboarding.
  5. Continuous Improvement:
    1. Identify and recommend improvements to the lead generation playbook to enhance overall sales effectiveness.
    2. Stay updated on market trends, customer needs, and industry changes to improve your ability to connect with prospects.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • A self-starter with a growth mindset, eager to learn and advance within a sales organization.
  • Ability to analyze and understand customer needs and match them with appropriate solutions.
  • Familiarity with sales technologies (e.g., HubSpot, Apollo, ZoomInfo) is a plus.
  • Must be able to commute to our office and be open to growth into a full-time sales role.
