Summary Generated by Built In
ilert is an AI-first incident management software company helping companies respond to incidents faster and increase the availability of digital services. Our mission is to keep the world running at all times. We’ve done the hardest part already: built something people love. Now it’s time to take this to the next level and that’s where you come in.
Why this role is more than “just content”:
You’ll drive our storytelling to the next level: shaping how technical audiences and business leaders perceive AI-first incident management. That means creating guides that actually help, blog posts that spark trust, and content that educates.
Tasks
* Own the content engine: craft and deliver a pulse-raising strategy that lifts brand awareness, powers lead gen, and helps customers master incident management.
* Be the editor-in-chief of our story: lead the editorial calendar, tie content to launches, campaigns, and the initiatives that matter.
* Tell technical stories that resonate: produce blog posts, deep-dive guides, and case studies finely tuned for developers, SREs, and IT leaders.
* Collaborate with the best: work side-by-side with engineers for how-tos and deep technical chops, and partner with our CEO for thought leadership.
* Own discoverability: shape SEO, GEO, and content distribution strategy.
* Measure with intention: track what works, analyze engagement, and sharpen strategy with insights; not gut feelings.
* Stay hyper-aware: monitor trends, competitive shifts, and industry moments to keep ilert ahead of the narrative curve.
Requirements
* A translator of tech: content marketing experience in B2B SaaS or developer ecosystems, with the ability to make incident response approachable for both engineers and execs.
* An editor with vision: you write tight, persuasive copy and know how to stretch a concept across formats; blogs, guides, emails.
* Part storyteller, part analyst: combined SEO expertise, distribution savvy, and an eye for analytics that reveals real opportunity.
* A collaboration catalyst: you’ve worked shoulder-to-shoulder with technical and executive teammates before, co-creating content with agility and empathy.
* Segment-aware: you know one-size-fits-all content loses to persona-specific, need-first narratives.
* Excellent English, and German fluency? Nice-to-have, not mandatory.
Benefits
* Hybrid work environment: enjoy the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely.
* Minimal meetings (#hackfwd): we keep meetings to a minimum so you can focus on your core tasks and work efficiently.
* Lean and bold culture: join a close-knit team that values open communication, mutual support, and shared goals.
* Ownership & autonomy: benefit from flat hierarchies and take full responsibility for your success.
* 28 days of paid vacation.
* Regular team events.
* A beautiful office in the "Rheinauhafen" area in the heart of Cologne.
If you see yourself in this role, and you want content to do more than just sound good: you want it to matter. Then, let’s hear what you’d write next.
