We are seeking a Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation team in the Kansas City area. This role is ideal for an engineer with 2-4 years of experience who is looking for the opportunity to work on a diverse range of roadway and transportation projects while continuing to develop both technical and professional skills.

In This Position, You Will:

  • Contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of roadway and transportation improvement projects.
  • Perform engineering analyses and prepare design calculations, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Develop roadway design plans using Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Designer.
  • Apply roadway design standards, criteria, and engineering best practices.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client objectives.
  • Participate in project meetings and collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Support project managers in the preparation of project documentation, technical reports, and deliverables.
  • Continue developing your technical and professional skills through mentorship, project experience, and ongoing learning opportunities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.2-4 years of experience in roadway and/or highway design.
  • Engineer Intern (EI) certification preferred.
  • Candidates actively pursuing PE licensure are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Designer.
  • Familiarity with roadway design plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.Commitment to quality, client service, and continuous learning.
