Salary/Wage Range: $30-40/hour
**What You'll Do:**
Research Analysts 3 are seasoned research professionals who lead high-priority projects and serve as knowledge resources for the team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and executing complex, multi-faceted research projects with minimal oversight
- Serving as subject matter expert in specialized research areas (e.g., campaign finance, corporate research, vetting)
- Conducting advanced analysis and developing strategic research recommendations for clients
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior and mid-level researchers
- Contributing to research methodology development and quality assurance processes
- Managing relationships with clients on technical research matters
- Identifying research innovations and efficiency improvements
**What We're Looking For:**
Ideal candidates have most of the following:
- Deep commitment to progressive politics and proven track record supporting Democratic campaigns
- 2-4 years of experience in opposition research, investigative journalism, or related research-intensive fields
- Expert proficiency with boolean search tools and professional research databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Thomson Reuters, Westlaw)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information into strategic insights
- Outstanding writing skills with proven ability to produce publication-quality research deliverables
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring researchers and improving team processes
- Strong project management skills with experience handling multiple high-stakes concurrent projects
- Subject matter expertise in one or more specialized research areas
- Experience collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Advanced technical skills including Git, Markdown, data analysis tools, or research automation
- Flexibility and resilience during high-pressure campaign periods with unconventional work hours
