Salary/Wage Range: $25-30/hour
**What You'll Do:**
Research Analysts 2 are experienced researchers who work independently on complex projects while continuing to develop advanced skills. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading research on high-priority opposition research projects and candidate vetting
- Conducting advanced boolean searches using professional research databases and public records systems
- Writing polished research memos, issue briefs, and fact-check reports for campaign clients
- Mentoring junior researchers and providing quality review on research deliverables
- Managing multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision
- Identifying research gaps and proactively recommending investigative strategies
- Contributing to research methodology improvements and best practices
**What We're Looking For:**
Ideal candidates have most of the following:
- Demonstrated commitment to progressive politics and Democratic campaign success
- 1-2 years of experience in opposition research, journalism, investigative research, or related fields
- Proven ability to conduct thorough, accurate research using professional databases and public records
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to produce clear, compelling narratives from complex source material
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Independence and initiative balanced with excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Experience working effectively in diverse teams with colleagues from different backgrounds
- Proficiency with boolean search tools and professional research databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Thomson Reuters, Westlaw)
- Comfort with technology including Git, Markdown, project management software, or CRM systems is a plus
- Flexibility to work unconventional hours during peak campaign periods
