Genesis is a physical AI research lab and full-stack robotics company on a mission to unlock unlimited physical labor. We're building a universal robotics foundation model that unifies high-fidelity physics simulation, generative modeling, and large-scale real-world robot data.
To get there, we need the best Research Scientists, SWEs, and Robotics engineers and we're going head-to-head with the top AI labs to win them.
That's the job: making the best engineers turn down everyone else.
You won't be doing it alone, but you'll be early enough to shape how we hire for years to come: the playbook, the bar, the tooling, the team. If you want to build a recruiting function rather than inherit one, keep reading.
Closing elite technical talent. Full-cycle ownership of Research Scientist, SWE, and Robotics searches, from strategy through offer close, for candidates who are not on the market and have no reason to leave their current lab. Until you talk to them.
Being the leaders' recruiting brain. Partner with founders and engineering/research leaders as a real advisor: shape the search, calibrate the bar, push back when needed.
Sourcing where the best actually are. Papers, GitHub, conferences, communities, networks, not job-board spray. You go find them.
Running a process candidates rave about. Senior researchers judge a company by how it hires. Make ours sharp, fast, and human.
Building the machine. Stand up scalable sourcing, screening, and reporting in Ashby, and automate the parts that don't need a human so you spend your time on the parts that do.
You've closed senior, hard-to-win technical hires in engineering, AI/ML, or research, in a competitive market, full-360.
You can talk credibly with technical stakeholders and earn the trust of people who are skeptical of recruiters.
You think in systems and automation: you'd rather build a workflow (or an AI-assisted one) than do the same manual task twice.
You're a self-starter who brings structure to ambiguity and moves fast without dropping quality.
You read data well, including pipeline health, conversion, and where searches stall, and you adjust.
You've hired Research Scientists, robotics, or deep-tech engineers specifically.
You've recruited across UK, France, and US.
You've used AI tooling to genuinely speed up sourcing or screening, and have opinions about what works.
You've been early at a startup and built something from zero.

What We Do
Genesis AI is a global full-stack robotics company developing general-purpose robots with human-level intelligence and capabilities. It aims to build foundational AI models that automate repetitive tasks across applications such as lab work and housekeeping. The company uses a proprietary physics engine to generate synthetic physical-world data, helping train robotics models for diverse real-world environments, and operates across Paris and Silicon Valley.
