Quality Assurance Engineer, Arnold

Description

The Quality Assurance Engineer ensures product quality and drives continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle. This role manages new product qualification testing, performs and supports production audits, and analyzes quality and warranty data to identify opportunities for improvement. The Quality Assurance Engineer conducts technical and statistical investigations, leads root cause analysis and corrective actions, and drives improvements to products, specifications, and processes to enhance the quality and reliability of Browning and Winchester Repeating Arms firearms.

Requirements

1. Conduct reception audits of incoming firearm shipments to BNA Arnold. 

2. Execute tasks according to priority and direction of the site in coordination with the Arnold Quality Manager. 

3. Teach and share expertise in reception audit procedures and processes. 

4. Interface with Arnold Gun Shop to review warranty claims and help identify root causes. 

5. Analyze warranty claim data and identify opportunities for improvement.

6. Oversee and perform verification testing of warranty claim root causes and corrective actions. 

7. Coordinate periodically with service personnel for the purpose of problem identification.

8. Conduct and participate in product qualification testing at all production factories.

9. Participate in firearm testing that requires high volume shooting, including high energy and magnum loads.

10. Conduct and attend factory process audits to determine root cause of warranty claims and implementation of corrective actions.

11. Complete T&E reports for product testing and qualifications. 

12. Use engineering expertise to understand BACO and WRA firearms specifications.

13. Use knowledge of operational functions for each firearm action type in the Browning and WRA product lines to complete assigned duties.

14. Complete all other duties as assigned.

Travel

Frequent travel which potentially includes:

· Short notice

· Long duration 

· Weekends and holidays

· Domestic and international

· 50+ days per year

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Manufacturing Engineering or similar field from four-year college or university; with 2+ years experience.
