Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Perform static testing for business and functional requirements using QTP

Establish traceability between requirements and test cases.

Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures.

Evaluate scenario for regression testing based on database impact.

Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers

Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content

Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes

Create or maintain databases of known test defects

Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required- 2-4 years experience required. Experience testing software- Experience writing test documentation such as Test Plans, scripts and test results reports- Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing.

Skills Required

  • Associate's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field
  • 2-4 years of software testing experience
  • Hands-on experience with QTP (QuickTest Professional) for test execution
  • Experience writing test documentation (Test Plans, test scripts, test results reports)
  • Experience executing test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures and performing regression testing
  • Experience documenting software defects and using a bug tracking system
  • Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing
  • Ability to establish traceability between requirements and test cases
  • Good communication skills
  • Local candidates preferred for face-to-face interview
