Job Title
Sr. Technical Program Manager - Infrastructure
Job Purpose
Every day Clover devices handle the core credit card and Point-Of-Sale (POS) processing for hundreds of thousands of merchants worldwide. Behind the scenes we operate a cloud platform providing processing, storage and collaboration for merchants, application developers, service providers and our merchant's customers.
Program management provides oversight and delivery of our leading Point of Sale system with an elegant end-to-end solution that incorporates beautiful devices, cloud-based POS software, payments processing, platform API's for third-party developers, and an ecosystem with over 220 apps.
This role is for you if you are the kind of person who:

  • Has a track record as an outstanding problem-solver and strategic thinker, and also with a bias to action and execution.
  • Passionate self-starter, decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas.
  • Extremely organized, with the ability to context switch and manage multiple complex projects at once.


In this role you can expect to

  • Lead planning, Execution and delivery of strategic , cross-functional programs for the Clover Infrastructure Engineering group.
  • Assess, manage and communicate project risks to all stakeholders
  • Create and manage project implementation plans; dependency management; resource management and status reporting
  • Manage change control, scoping and contingency planning
  • Establish, maintain and improve program governance structures to ensure programs and projects are delivered on time, in scope and within budget
  • Develop and publish KPIs to track performance trends and metrics
  • Mentor and train project managers
  • Collaborate with internal, external stakeholders, teams and business units while managing program delivery
  • Provide Scrum oversight and agile coaching across engineering delivery teams.


Requirements for Consideration:

  • 10+ Years of Program Management Experience working in a large technology organization with at least 5 years experience leading large-scale programs
  • Must Have experience in infrastructure program development and driving cloud migration programs such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • High technical knowledge of CI/CD Automation tools (Jenkins, Puppet) Containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes), Microservices (e.g. APIs) , Scaling, load balancing and infrastructure security
  • Comfortable working with, presenting to, and facilitating decisions among senior executives based on evolving priorities.
  • Able to think and act strategically and tactically within a technical discipline and from a broad business perspective
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in building positive relationships, strategic partnerships with external and internal key stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral, written and social skills with shown ability to lead sophisticated matrix teams across geographic and business unit boundaries.
  • Strong Knowledge of SCRUM and Agile principles
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience


Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education

  • 2+ years coding experience in any programming language
  • Experience with vendor management and third parties
  • Able to traverse complex organization structure horizontally and vertically
  • Previously had experience with open source coding/development/services
  • Jira, Confluence, SQL experience, Google Docs, and solid presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of fintech and payments industry
