Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Statistics, Mathematics, or Finance.
  • 7 years of relevant experience in finance, management consulting, corporate strategy or similar environment, including financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and project management experience.



Preferred qualifications:

  • CPA, CFA, MBA or relevant advanced degree.
  • SQL experience.
  • Experience of successful performance with increasing levels of responsibility. Experience of successfully managing and influencing complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to take charge, set objectives, drive to results while building long-term relationships across organizational boundaries with all levels of seniority.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality cross-functional projects, work well in ambiguity and change.
  • Passion for understanding and explaining as well as excellent attention to detail, leadership, and people skills.



About the job

Within YouTube Global Scaled Operations (GSO) you will contribute strategic leadership and ownership of our cost for our support and Trust and Safety operations that are mission critical to the platform. In this role, you will model, manage our profit and loss (P&L) and help define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that help us transform safety and support of the YouTube platform.

The YouTube GSO team develops innovative ways to address some of the most complex business challenges to keep YouTube thriving. We anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of our key clients, and understand how our range of product and service offerings can enable their business success. We also lead the global vendor strategy across all organizations, manage business risk, ensure we have great agreements and deliver amazing client experiences for YouTube's customers and partners. Using influencing and relationship-building skills, we provide YouTube-caliber client service, legal guidance, research, and market analysis.

As a Cost Program Manager, you will drive our business forward. In this role, you will provide full finance support to senior business partners and offer significant scope for leadership of individual projects that drive growth. You will work in close partnership with highly talented finance and business colleagues from across the world on a wide array of projects that touch every aspect of YouTube's business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage stakeholder relationships with respect to cost governance, leveraging best practices and subject-matter expertise in finance, accounting and KPI management to ensure smooth operations as well as active communication with business partners and GSO stakeholders.
  • Drive ambiguous ad hoc analytical projects to improve the operational outcome for business partners.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Purchasing, Finance, and Business Systems teams, as well as vendors and external partners, to drive operational issues to resolution.
  • Partner with YouTube Finance and Google teams as needed to ensure policy compliance, and review month-end actuals with accounting teams to ensure the accuracy of information contributing to financial statements.
  • Analyze cost data to provide program insights including trends, opportunities, and/or abuses with a focus on continuous improvement. Plan and execute efforts to deliver value from insights.
