Program Manager, Federal Gov't Contracts - Pasadena CA

SUMMARY : The Program Manager is the primary face to the customer. and shall be responsible for the overall contract performance. Includes identification of business opportunities and support of existing developmental efforts.  Program Manager is familiar with Industry and Government Agencies and develops relationships to further company growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (include but not limited to)

  • Plans, coordinates and executes work across a growing number of projects
  • Directs project team personnel,
  • Manages cost and schedule,
  • Ensures contract compliance.
  • Participates in all phases of the capture and proposal processes
  • Formulates and enforces work standards,
  • Supervises Contractor personnel
  • Identifies potential risk and problem areas and provides recommended solutions.
  • Directs efforts of cross-competency teams at multiple locations.
  • Regularly briefs senior leadership on program status and milestones.
  • Manage acquisition, financial and administrative aspects of the program/project

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly and indirectly supervises employees within the all departments.
  • Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems .

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Occasionally/Frequently/Continually required to sit
  • Occasionally/Frequently/Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Occasionally/Frequently/Continually required to talk or hear
  • Occasionally/Frequently/Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
  • Occasionally/Frequently/Continually required to meet last minute deadlines
  • Frequent/Occasional travel CONUS/OCONUS

SALARY: DOE

SCHEDULE:SALARIED, FULL TIME EXEMPT (40+hrs/week)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution plus ten (10) years related experience
  • 8+ years' direct experience working with Federal Government customers
  • Experience leading customer engagement, technical management and business development
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Ability to work with all levels of management
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Proven leadership and business acumen skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
