VP of Product Development & Technical Design
Reformation is seeking a VP of Product Development & Technical Designer to lead our apparel development teams. This individual will oversee the development calendar, ensure efficient and quality development processes, and closely partner with the design team for sourcing, fabric, development, fittings, and style production. Reformation is growing quickly and requires equally quick development cycles. An individual who is flexible and can think outside the box will excel in this role.
What You’ll Do:
- Develops Product Development & Technical Design roadmap and operational plan to delivery on our strategy
- Drives the end-to-end development, execution, and communication of Technical Design and fit engineering strategy
- Sets vision and strategies to create value through aligning supply chain capabilities with brand product architecture, design direction and inventory opportunities
- Collaborates with, and influences key stakeholders including Design, Sourcing, Merchandising, Fabric R&D, and Quality, Supply Chain vendors
- Leads/Owns Cross functional product calendar to ensure product on time delivery
- Serves as thought leader for fit excellence; proactively identifies and communicates business issues by researching market, competitive, consumer, vendor, and other relevant trends to bring recommended best practices in market to leadership team to inform practices
- Supports virtual try on (VTO) and other initiatives to enhance customer fit selection and experience
- Drives organizational effectiveness by fostering understanding of the value within product creation and clearly delineate roles across teams
- Create and maintain a positive environment that promotes high performance standards and attainment of goals
What you'll need:
- 10+ years experience in apparel development
- 7+ years of leadership experience of a product design/development team
- Extreme attention to detail and accuracy, as well as ability to prioritize and make quick decisions
- Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented; highly detail oriented and meticulous
- Excellent problem solver and ability to provide solutions
- Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and timelines
- Extremely detail-oriented with excellent follow through
