The Role

As Product Marketing Manager at Hedra, you'll turn our technical capabilities into content that helps developers understand what they can build and helps sales teams win business. You'll own content strategy and hands-on production for our B2B, sales-led business, working closely with marketing, sales, product, and engineering.

Most of your time will go toward deciding what we should say, writing it yourself, and getting it into the hands of the right people. That includes technical product stories, customer case studies, use-case and comparison pages, launch content, and materials that help sales teams move buyers from initial interest through technical evaluation and purchase. You'll need to earn the trust of developers while making the value clear to the business leaders buying alongside them.

You'll also contribute to messaging and positioning, and bring customer and market insights back to the product. Those responsibilities support the core job: building a content program that makes a complex platform understandable, differentiated, and easier to buy.

Responsibilities
  • Own content strategy and the editorial calendar. Prioritize the topics, formats, and distribution channels that address developer needs, buyer questions, active sales opportunities, and product launches.

  • Write and ship the work yourself. Produce product explainers, technical articles, customer stories, solution pages, competitive comparisons, launch emails, and other content that connects what Hedra does to a specific customer problem.

  • Build content for sales-led growth. Work with sales on decks, one-pagers, evaluation guides, and objection-handling materials. Understand where deals stall and create content that helps technical champions and business buyers move forward.

  • Develop credible technical stories. Interview engineers, researchers, and customers; read the documentation; and use the product. Turn architecture, model capabilities, deployment tradeoffs, and customer results into clear narratives without losing the details that matter.

  • Build customer proof. Find compelling use cases with sales and customer success, interview customers, and develop case studies grounded in their actual workflows and results.

  • Carry each story across channels. Adapt core content for the website, blog, email, LinkedIn, and sales outreach. Partner with video and developer-facing teammates on scripts, demos, and launch assets.

  • Improve content based on how it performs. Track qualified engagement, use in sales conversations, and contribution to pipeline and deal progression. Use feedback to improve the work, not simply increase publishing volume.

  • Contribute to messaging and positioning. Help sharpen how we explain Hedra's value, differentiation, and best-fit use cases, grounded in customer conversations and competitive research.

  • Bring market insight into product decisions. Surface recurring buyer objections, adoption barriers, and unmet needs to help product and engineering prioritize what to build and how to bring it to market.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years in B2B product marketing, with substantial ownership of content strategy and production for a sales-led business. Experience with AI, developer tools, APIs, or infrastructure is especially relevant.

  • Exceptional writing ability. A portfolio that shows clear thinking, strong narrative structure, and an ability to make complex products compelling. You can write a useful technical deep dive and a concise sales narrative, and explain the choices behind each.

  • Demonstrated success marketing to developers or technical buyers. You understand how these audiences discover, evaluate, and adopt products, and can show work that earned their attention and trust.

  • Strong technical fluency. You're comfortable reading API documentation, trying an integration, and discussing model quality, latency, cost, and reliability with engineers. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you need to understand the product well enough to explain it accurately and ask good questions.

  • Experience supporting sales teams through complex buying processes, including technical evaluations, multiple stakeholders, and the transition from a promising use case to a production deployment.

  • A track record taking content from research and first draft through review, publication, distribution, and improvement. You're comfortable working directly in publishing tools without a large support team.

Please include writing samples that show your developer-facing work, customer storytelling, or sales content. Tell us what you personally wrote, who it was for, and what it helped achieve.

Who You Are
  • A writer and a builder. You enjoy doing the research, finding the story, and making the finished piece, not just creating briefs for other people.

  • Technically curious and precise. You can simplify an idea without overselling it or stripping away what makes it useful.

  • Commercially minded. You care whether your work helps the right customers understand, evaluate, and buy the product.

  • Self-directed, collaborative, and open to feedback. You can set priorities, ship consistently, and improve the work with sales and technical teammates.
