Description
Engrain has transformed the way people find, lease, and manage properties. Engrain provides a holistic suite of mapping solutions built specifically for the real estate industry to provide stunning unit-level map visualizations that integrate with countless websites and property tech applications. Our revolutionary, unit-level map data and interactive visuals within our SightMap, TouchTour, and Asset Intelligence product lines allow both property owners and prospective renters to better ensure occupancy and drive revenue.
As a Product Manager, you will have the opportunity to be a part of Engrain's growth and dynamic environment, working closely with the Experience Design, Ops, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Experience, Sales, and Leadership teams. This position requires an ability to understand the nuances of our products, their requirements, and related data sets, as well as data and APIs provided by current and potential integration partners. Along with the team, you will set and execute the product vision, define the roadmap, and iterate features. You must be able to empathize with stakeholders, balance their concerns, and prioritize subsequent initiatives to deliver well-designed, scalable web applications, providing value-added direction to the product development team.
What you'll do...

  • Define user stories and communicate requirements to Experience Design and Engineering teams via clearly written requirements documents, diagrams, and concise verbal communication.
  • Develop and maintain product features, success metrics, roadmap, using voice of the customer, observed behavioral data, perception of value, and split testing - among other data- and user-driven methods.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Experience Design, Leadership, and other stakeholders to deliver products that delight users and achieve business goals.
  • Collaborate with Product Ops, Marketing and other cross-functional teams to discover, design, prioritize, iterate, and communicate features within an agile workflow.
  • Plan and lead agile ceremonies, including defining MVPs, driving pilot projects, demos, backlog grooming, managing asynchronous workflows, etc.
  • Manage your resource's time and priorities to meet deadlines and deliver consistent releases.
  • Analyze data to provide actionable insights for business objectives and feature solutions during product decisions/reviews with executives.
  • Manage product expectations for internal (C-suite, organization) and external stakeholders (customers and vendor partners), communicating and advocating product initiatives, requirements, best practices, and releases.
  • Serve as a subject-matter-expert resource for internal teams that have product questions and other product-related needs.

Requirements
What you offer us...

  • 2+ years of experience in product management, development or applicable roles.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while understanding and discussing technical concepts, managing trade-offs, and stakeholders' expectations.
  • Proven track record of interviewing and listening to customers and stakeholders to inform product development through research.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with extensive SaaS knowledge.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards such as WCAG is a plus.
  • Experience with multifamily or other real estate software products is a plus.

What’s the vibe like in the office?

You're likely to run into a friendly face who's genuinely interested in how your day is going. Although we don't take ourselves too seriously, we know how to hustle to get the job done. Perks include a self-service bar with beer on tap, Starbucks coffee machine, jigsaw puzzle table & a meditation room. We work hard, but know how to unwind.

What projects are you most excited about?

SightMap Asset Intelligence, for me, is the most interesting and exciting project we are working on. There are tons of obstacles and problems to solve in this space and I would recommend anyone who owns a multi-unit apartment building look into this product. We're building some really cool things.

What makes someone successful on your team?

Being adaptable to changes is the name of the game on the implementation team. To be successful you have to be able to adhere to new processes and take a swing at different practices to find the most efficient routes to success.

Sam

How do you empower your team to be more creative?

My focus every day with our creative team is to give them a defined lane to creatively explore. Consistent quality work, especially within a creative space, begins with clearly outlined goals and personal expectations. Empower your creative team by giving them context in order to change the conversation from subjective to strategic.
