Position Overview
Valitana is seeking a Product Manager to join our Analytics product team in Plano, TX. In this role, you will help define and deliver the analytics capabilities our institutional clients rely on to evaluate structured credit markets, trade flow, and portfolio performance. You will translate client and market needs into clear product specifications, partner closely with engineering to bring features to production, and serve as a resource on how our users work with fixed income and loan data. This is an excellent opportunity for a product professional with a foundation in financial markets who wants to grow within a fast-moving FinTech environment.
Responsibilities
 
  • Write clear, detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for new analytics features and enhancements.
  • Gather and synthesize requirements from clients, client services, and internal stakeholders to identify product opportunities.
  • Partner with engineering and data teams throughout the development lifecycle, from scoping and design through QA and release.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with the product roadmap and business objectives.
  • Validate the accuracy of analytics outputs and underlying market data, working with data teams to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Support client-facing activities including product demos, feedback sessions, and release communications.
  • Monitor product usage and client feedback to measure impact and inform future iterations.
  • Stay current on developments in the fixed income, loan, and structured credit markets that shape client needs.

Qualifications
 
  • 3+ years of professional work experience in a role related to Math, Engineering, Finance, or Financial Operations. Client-facing experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience writing product specifications, business requirements documents, or user stories.
  • Familiarity with fixed income and credit products, including bonds and loans.
  • Ability to comprehend complex financial concepts of structured finance products.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Resourceful with the ability to work independently as well as a team.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school.

What We Offer
Base salary range for this role is $100,000 – $135,000. Valitana offers a competitive compensation package including base salary and an annual performance bonus. Employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer-matched retirement plan, healthcare with medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, and PTO.
Employees in this role will work in the office Monday through Wednesday with the flexibility to work remotely Thursday and Friday.
