At Chaos Theory, we work at the digital intersection of sports, entertainment, and cryptocurrency. We are looking for a rare professional who possesses the blend of deep technical gravitas and high-level product taste. You will be the architect of our live operations - a visionary who understands the market landscape and possesses the technical depth to lead our product journey into the future of competitive gaming.

A Day in the Life

As a Product Manager for Live Operations, your day is a high-stakes balance between immediate execution and long-term scaling.

You start the morning deep in the data of our current community events calendar, identifying friction points and deciding where to pivot to keep our players engaged. By midday, you are acting as a bridge between worlds. You sit down with engineering and analytics to write highly technical specifications; you aren’t just shipping features, you are building the robust, permanent versions of our short-term solutions to ensure our competitive systems and ranked matchmaking infrastructure can scale to new heights.

In the afternoon, you shift to a collaborative leadership role. You meet with global publishing partners and internal stakeholders, using your deep industry experience to guide decision-making. You translate complex platform needs into actionable plans, ensuring that every stakeholder is aligned and that our technical roadmap is executed with precision.

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:
  • Exceptional Technical Gravitas: You must be highly technical, capable of writing specs that go directly to engineering and understanding platform architecture at a deep level.
  • Proven Industry Experience: You have run multiple cycles within the AAA or Indie gaming industry and have a proven track record of managing and scaling live service content cycles.
  • Product Instinct & Design Taste: Beyond following a roadmap, you have the market insight to decide what competitive features we need to build next to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Stakeholder Management: The ability to navigate and guide demanding stakeholders across engineering, analytics, and leadership.
  • Operational Excellence: Experience building structures, rhythms, and technical tools from scratch in a fast-paced environment.
It’d Be Great - But Not Necessary - If You Also Had:
  • Global Market Experience: Familiarity with major international gaming markets and the pace of global product cycles.
  • High-Growth Digital Background: Sharp operational experience from fast-moving, large-scale digital products or consumer-facing platforms.
  • Ecosystem & Systems Scaling: A history of taking existing systems and re-engineering them to be significantly larger, more robust, and more automated.
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Owning the Live Ops Calendar: Building and maintaining a mature rhythm of seasonal events, tools, and community engagement processes.
  • Technical Specification: Writing and overseeing the execution of rigorous engineering specs and platform requirements.
  • Feature Evolution: Shipping immediate solutions while simultaneously designing the scalable architecture for skill-based play and progression systems.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Reducing friction between publishing partners and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Strategic Advisory: Analyzing market trends to provide expert advice to leadership on necessary changes to our competitive strategy.
Where You’ll Work:

While the majority of the team are based in Europe and Asia, we collaborate around the world to shake things up in one of the most exciting places on the internet today — the digital center of sports, entertainment, and cryptocurrency.

For this role, we offer a Remote arrangement. While we appreciate candidates in similar time zones to our core teams, for the right technical talent, location is not a dealbreaker. If you're the right fit, you're right where you belong.
