dcbel Inc. (www.dcbel.energy) designs and sells residential products to make clean, efficient, and sustainable energy accessible to all — because everyone in the world deserves energy without compromise.

dcbel is at the leading edge of the residential energy revolution. Its products enable decentralized energy consumption and production through its vertically integrated suite of energy hardware and software products, and their supporting infrastructure.

Our flagship product, dcbel Ara, is a Home Energy Station that gives everyone ownership over their energy supply by using solar power to charge their EV and power their home, unlocking their EV’s battery for blackout protection, backup power (V2H) and grid services (V2G), and optimizing the energy flow between their solar panels, EVs, stationary battery and the grid.

The opportunity

dcbel is looking to hire a Product Design Lead (UX UI) to work in dcbel's Product Team. This role focuses on defining that experience end to end. It combines hands-on product design with system-level ownership, ensuring every interaction feels consistent, intuitive, and reliable as the platform evolves. Beyond day-to-day design, there is meaningful room to drive direction, elevate standards, and influence how experience is shaped across the organization.

This is an opportunity to shape how a new category of product is experienced in everyday and critical moments.
If you are driven to bring clarity to complex systems and shape experiences people can rely on every day, this role offers the space and ownership to make that impact.

  • Experience leading a small team of designers to deliver coherent, development-ready
    assets in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience contributing to or building design systems and scalable interaction
    patterns

Experience that will accelerate impact

    • Experience working at the intersection of hardware and software
    • Exposure to operational or service-oriented tools supporting real-world workflows
    • Ability to bridge detailed execution with system-level thinking

Profile

  • Ability to simplify complex systems and translate them into intuitive, dependable
    experiences
  • Ability to interpret AI-driven design inputs and translate them into intuitive, visually
    compelling solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, and
    operational teams
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset seeing opportunities where others see obstacles and
taking smart initiative to move ideas forward.
  • Results-oriented, turning goals into clear plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong EQ: you listen deeply, communicate with clarity, build trust across diverse teams, and navigate change with empathy and resilience
  • Ability to initiate and provide strong product know-how for a wide range of end-user applications.

What's in it for you

  • Be part of a company that is backed by numerous globally respected investors and has world-changing patents in an industry changing for the first time in history.
  • Grow your professional experience amongst blue chip partners and a close-knit team of committed and experienced energy experts who deeply care about the work they do.
