Principal Network Architect - GCC Countries

💼 The Scoop on the Role:

 This role involves closely collaborating with stakeholders to design, deploy, maintain, and monitor live services and the underlying network infrastructure. As a Principal Network Architect, you'll focus on architecting, deploying, and operating cloud-based GRC and HRIS services and SaaS products ensuring the security and connectivity of critical operations processes.

The role's areas of focus:

• Architectural Leadership: Lead the creation of advanced network architectures and designs within a team of technical leads.
• Technology Evaluation: Proactively evaluate and assess new networking technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
• Technical Standards: Develop technical solutions and establish standards, policies, and procedures for network infrastructure.
• Infrastructure Management: Manage cloud network resources, application flows, and security elements as code, integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Automation: Automate workloads using a variety of tools and services, including native command line tools like Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Security Compliance: Apply a risk-based approach to implementing security policies to ensure GDPR and InfoSec compliance.
• Security Collaboration: Collaborate with the security team to implement best practices for cloud network security.
• Agile Participation: Engage in Agile Scrum standups with platform and development teams, supporting software deployment to secure cloud networks.
• Monitoring Solutions: Implement monitoring solutions for network infrastructure and services across multiple clouds, utilising open-source dashboarding technologies like Graphana.
• Vendor Management: Act as the primary interface to third-party network and security vendors on behalf of Grouper.
  

📈What We're Looking For: Network Architect Ninja! Are you ready to dive into a role that demands technical mastery and strategic flair? We're seeking someone with:

• Experience or Certification: Possess experience or certification in one of the following: Azure Web Application Firewall, Checkpoint Next Generation Firewall, NGINX/F5 API Management & NGINX App Protect Web Application Firewall.
• IT Governance and Compliance: Experience with IT governance standards and compliance frameworks such as ITIL, PCI, and SOC.
• Network Architecture: Extensive experience in architecting networks to enable a flexible and secure environment for operating and maintaining a fleet of Microservice APIs.
• Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Ansible, Azure DevOps, or Terraform for automating routine tasks.
• Tool Proficiency: Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence for project management, version control, and documentation.
• Linux Shell Scripting: Proficiency in Linux shell scripting for automation and system administration tasks.
  
• Git Repository Management: Experience in working with git repositories for version control and collaborative development.
• Communication Skills: Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration.
• Load Balancer Design: Extensive experience with standard load balancer design, SSL termination, and overall application/solution design.
• Certifications: Desired certifications or equivalent experience in disciplines such as CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, CISSP, or other relevant security certifications.
• Advanced Traffic Management: Demonstrated knowledge of advanced layer 4 to 7 traffic management, including authentication and authorization flows, JWT/OIDC, and integration with 3rd party identity providers.
