About the Role
We're seeking an exceptional Principal Data Scientist / GenAI Architect at T1A to join as a dedicated expert for DataBricks projects. This is a highly specialized role for someone who can match the technical caliber of our top performers and work directly with DataBricks teams on their most complex initiatives.
This is NOT a junior or mid-level position. We need someone at architect level who can pass DataBricks' rigorous technical interviews and immediately contribute to production systems.

Responsibilities
- Lead GenAI/ML architecture and implementation specifically within DataBricks ecosystem
- Design production-ready ML pipelines using the full DataBricks stack (MLflow, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Serving Endpoints)
- Implement advanced GenAI solutions: LLM fine-tuning, RAG architectures, multi-agent systems
- Navigate complex technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions
- Collaborate directly with DataBricks product and engineering teams
- Serve as technical authority for GenAI/ML best practices
- Pass and excel in DataBricks' technical assessments
Requirements
Must-Have Requirements:
- 5+ years of senior/principal level ML/AI experience (not just years in the field, but years at senior level)
- Expert-level proficiency with DataBricks platform - this is non-negotiable
- Production GenAI experience: You've built and deployed LLM-based systems at scale
Strong technical fundamentals:
- Advanced Python for ML/AI
- Deep understanding of Spark and distributed computing
- SQL mastery and data engineering principles
- MLOps and production ML systems
- Excellent English communication skills (you'll interface with US-based DataBricks teams)
- Proven ability to work at architect level - designing systems, not just implementing
- Track record of passing rigorous technical interviews
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with multiple cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Background from top universities (MSU, MIPT, top EU/US schools)
- Experience at leading tech companies (FAANG, Yandex, or similar)
- Russian language skills (for internal collaboration)

- Published research or significant open-source contributions
