About the Role

We are looking for a Presales Technical Consultant who combines a strong technical background, exceptional project management skills, and professional expertise in Customer Data Platforms (CDP) . In this role, you will serve as the key technical bridge between our sales team and our clients, overseeing the entire presales lifecycle—from needs discovery and solution design to project delivery—helping enterprises maximize business value through our CDP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

    I. Customer Needs Discovery & Solution Design

  • Lead in-depth discovery sessions with prospective clients to thoroughly understand their business goals, data challenges, and technical requirements.

  • Translate complex business needs into functional CDP use cases and feature mappings, clearly demonstrating business value and return on investment.

  • Design customized solution architectures covering core CDP capabilities such as customer data flow, identity resolution, unified customer 360° views, audience segmentation, and omnichannel orchestration.

  • II. Technical Demonstrations & Presales Support

  • Prepare and deliver compelling, tailored product demonstrations that address specific client needs and industry scenarios.

  • Articulate high-level business value and deliver deep-dive technical presentations to diverse audiences, ranging from C-level executives to engineering teams.

  • Lead the technical response for RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and competitiveness of all proposals.

  • Lead Proof of Concept (POC) projects, validating solution feasibility through measurable business outcomes.

  • III. Presales Project Management

  • End-to-End Presales Project Management: Own the entire presales project lifecycle, from requirements capture and solution design through to delivery handover.

  • Multi-Project Management: Simultaneously manage multiple client engagements at various stages, prioritizing based on deal value, strategic fit, and submission deadlines.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with delivery management teams to ensure that infrastructure and solutions are delivered on time, to specification, and within budget.

  • Bid & Proposal Management: Lead the entire bid process—from requirements breakdown and solution architecture to compliance review and final submission.

  • Handover Management: Ensure a seamless transition from the presales phase to the implementation and delivery teams.

  • IV. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Industry Insight

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to identify and share technical patterns and trends from clients and prospects, contributing to product strategy.

  • Provide enablement training on product knowledge, solutions, and use cases to the sales and presales teams.

  • Stay ahead of the latest trends in CDP, AI, and data engineering to maintain technical thought leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Work Experience:

  • 6+ years of progressive presales experience, including experience architecting complex solutions.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with CDP and/or MarTech platforms—encompassing data engineering, data modeling, and/or cloud data warehousing.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Deep understanding of customer data architecture, data modeling, and data governance.

  • Familiarity with API integrations, webhooks, and modern data stack components.

  • Understanding of identity resolution and customer data management principles.

  • Project Management Skills:

  • Proven experience in project management during the presales phase, including the complete cycle from requirements capture and solution design to delivery.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

  • Familiarity with RFP/RFI/RFQ response processes and bid management.

  • Communication & Influence:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to drive deal strategy through compelling storytelling.

  • Confident in influencing and engaging with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives.

  • Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with CDP platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric or Databricks)

  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and compliance frameworks.

  • Experience working in an overlay or specialist presales capacity.

  • MBA or advanced technical degree.

  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Databricks or equivalent).

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field
  • 6+ years of progressive presales experience including architecting complex solutions
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with CDP and/or MarTech platforms (data engineering, data modeling, cloud data warehousing)
  • Deep understanding of customer data architecture, data modeling, and data governance
