Title: POS Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration:4+ Months
Role Description:
Support terminal devices, store controller servers, and combination controller/terminals – pin pads, cash registers, lane busting, RF guns, primary and secondary controllers
Monitor all alerts proactively and mitigate risks
Remote monitoring - Check lane availability and register/pin pad down and resolve
Skills Required:
4-6 yrs hands on experience in Toshiba 4690 OS for POS – V6R4 onwards
3-5 years in C basic skills, File base (Mainframe/COBOL) – understand file system, UNIX scripting (batch scripting)
Experience supporting terminal devices, store controller servers and combination controller/terminals – pin pads, cash registers, lane busting, RF guns, primary and secondary controllers
Skills Required
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience with Toshiba 4690 OS for POS, V6R4 or later
- 3-5 years of C programming experience
- Experience with file systems and mainframe or COBOL environments
- Experience with UNIX batch scripting
- Experience supporting POS terminal devices, store controller servers, combination controller-terminals, pin pads, cash registers, lane-busting devices, RF guns, and primary and secondary controllers
