Portfolio Principal - Data Platform

Overview: At Joyful Craftsmen, we are looking for a senior role of Data Platform Portfolio Principal who will be responsible for driving the strategy, execution, and performance of our projects and initiative portfolio. This role ensures effective resource allocation, maximizes business value, and aligns all activities with our long-term goals. Key Responsibilities: 

1. Portfolio content creation through thought leadership: 

• Develop and maintain content for the portfolio website, campaign website, LinkedIn posts, blogs, and case studies. 

• Generate innovative and insightful content that positions Joyful Craftsmen as a leader in data platform solutions. 

1. Following trends and innovating portfolio products: 

• Monitor and analyze trends in the data platform domain. 

• Prepare quarterly trend summaries and define portfolio and product strategies based on these insights. 

1. Portfolio promotion internally and externally: 

• Promote the portfolio through various channels including Teams, internal and external newsletters, and all-hands meetings. 

• Ensure consistent and effective communication of portfolio value to both internal teams and external stakeholders. 

1. Collaboration and cooperation: 

• Work closely with the CTO to oversee the financial profitability of the portfolio. 

• Collaborate with Technology Principals to gain technology-specific insights and provide technology comparisons. 

• Partner with Portfolio Management to create and review content post-copywriting. 

• Engage with Sales team to participate in pre-sales activities, delivery target setup, and reviews. 

• Cooperate with Marketing to review content for LinkedIn posts and other promotional materials. 

• Work with Delivery teams and Customer Leads to drive the extension of the portfolio at existing customers. 

• Educate internal teams (Portfolio Management, Sales, Marketing, Delivery) about the portfolio with a strong focus on customer value. 

1. Communication between Technology and Delivery: 

• Support the delivery team with BI-related capabilities and insights.   

• Facilitate communication regarding capabilities, growth, and learnings between Technology and Delivery teams. 

• Work closely with Squad Leads and Customer Leads to ensure alignment and effective use of non-billable budgets. 

Qualifications: 

• Proven experience in data platform development, BI, or advanced analytics. 

• Strong background in portfolio management or product development. 

• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration. 

• Passion for data platforms and proven ability to drive organizational impact through data. 

• Analytical mindset with a strong focus on innovation and market trends. 

• Experience in creating and promoting technical content to diverse audiences. 

• Familiarity with financial profitability and business growth metrics. 

• Ability to analyze industry trends and innovate portfolio products. 

• Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
