About Gantri

Gantri is the first digital manufacturer for design. We enable any designer or brand to create high-quality, sustainable design products 10x faster with no minimums. We manufacture at our Digital Factory in California on-demand at industrial-scale efficiency and ship directly to the end customer. Gantri is the most awarded design manufacturer in America.

Role

We’re seeking an exceptional Product Manager, Physical Product to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to Gantri’s physical product programs. You will own the product requirements, schedules, roadmaps, and testing that turn Gantri’s product strategy into shipped products.

Your near-term focus will be launching and developing our Wireless and Low programs, and supporting the development of new Gantri Made products and our 2027 Creator Release. Over time, you’ll help shape the physical product strategy as Gantri expands beyond lighting into furniture, metal, and other categories.

This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role for a product manager who loves physical products and thrives on making complex programs run on time. You’ll operate at the intersection of industrial design, product design engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and marketing—working with internal teams and external partners and vendors to keep requirements clear, decisions moving, and launches on track.

You will report to the Head of Product and collaborate closely with design, engineering, operations, sales, and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Help define and evolve Gantri’s physical product strategy, translating company goals, market signals, and user insights into category, collection, and program priorities.
  • Write and maintain PRDs and product requirements that serve as the single source of truth for ID, PDE, EE/firmware, sourcing, manufacturing, QA, and marketing.
  • Own program schedules and requirements across development phases (EVT, DVT, PVT, MP), tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and gate reviews with internal teams and external partners.
  • Launch types
  • ICR
  • Made
  • Custom Art
  • Component
  • Category
  • Plan and run user testing—including in-home testing with employees and customers—and turn the findings into clear requirement changes.
  • Prioritize and build product roadmaps, and lead budget planning for physical product programs, tracking spend against plan.
  • Manage team capacity, balancing resourcing across design, engineering, and sourcing and flagging conflicts early.
  • Drive the launch and ongoing development of the Wireless and Low programs, coordinating launch readiness across product, operations, marketing, sales, and customer experience.
  • Support the development of new Gantri Made products and the 2027 Creator Release, from brief through launch, in partnership with designers, brands, and internal teams.
  • Build scalable processes and documentation (PRD templates, gate reviews, decision logs) that grow with the team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management experience in physical consumer products—ideally lighting, furniture, home goods, or consumer electronics.
  • Proven track record shipping physical products from concept through mass production, including work with contract manufacturers and overseas vendors.
  • Strong writer of PRDs and product requirements that connect business and user outcomes to clear, testable requirements.
  • Working knowledge of hardware development phases (EVT/DVT/PVT), BOMs, unit cost, and certification; experience with connected or battery-powered products is a plus.
  • Experience planning and running user testing and turning qualitative and quantitative feedback into product decisions.
  • Comfort owning schedules, budgets, and capacity plans, with strong spreadsheet and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to align designers, engineers, vendors, and executives around clear decisions.
  • Highly organized and able to run several programs at once in a fast-moving startup.
  • Passion for design, sustainability, and new approaches to manufacturing.
