Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), a multi-office national defense firm and the largest minority- and women-owned law firm in the United States, is seeking a Paralegal to join our Naples office, supporting attorneys handling general liability litigation matters. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
About the Role
The Paralegal will support attorneys through all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and resolution. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, dependable, and experienced in civil litigation.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in all phases of general liability litigation
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, and correspondence
- Review, organize, and summarize medical records, incident reports, expert materials, and other case-related documents
- Manage case calendars, court deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial schedules
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, experts, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Prepare deposition, mediation, and trial materials, including exhibits and witness files
- Assist with Florida State and Federal Court filings, including electronic filing procedures
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files
- Conduct factual investigations and assist with case analysis as needed
- Track billable time and assist with billing-related tasks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of paralegal experience in civil litigation
- General liability defense experience preferred
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures, court rules, and case management practices
- Experience with Florida State and Federal Court filing procedures preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Paralegal certificate or degree in Legal Studies preferred
