Position: Oracle Database Specialist
FT/PT Status: Full-Time
Location: Remote within the following locations: DC, FL, GA, MD, TX, VA
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field required.
Overview:
Kreative Technologies is looking for an Oracle Database Specialist to provide expert support for Oracle database environments. You will solve complex database problems, improve performance and advise teams on database design and best practices.
The ideal candidate is a deep technical expert who enjoys hard problems. You should be comfortable acting as the go-to resource for database questions across projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serves as the technical expert for Oracle database design, performance and security.
- Diagnoses and resolves complex database and performance issues.
- Reviews database designs, SQL and PL/SQL code for quality and efficiency.
- Plans and supports database upgrades, migrations and consolidations.
- Recommends standards, tools and best practices for Oracle environments.
- Supports high availability and disaster recovery planning.
- Mentors database administrators and developers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Oracle database experience across administration and development.
- Expert knowledge of Oracle architecture, SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience with performance tuning tools such as AWR, ASH and SQL Tuning Advisor.
- Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard or similar high availability tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Continually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM).
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or AWS database services.
- Experience supporting federal government contracts.
Compensation: $53,192.88 - $59,103.20
