The engineer will be responsible for building database structures, developing stored procedures, optimizing performance, and ensuring seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems.

Location: Tampa, Florida (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite per week)

    • Develop and implement database schema, ensuring adherence to design standards and performance best practices.
    • Implement stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support identity workflows and data transformations.
  • Performance & Optimization
    • Optimize queries, indexing strategies, and database structures for scalability and performance.
    • Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of database-related issues.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Implement appropriate security controls, access permissions, and auditing in alignment with identity and access management requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and organizational security standards.
  • Collaboration & Integration
    • Work closely with identity architects, IAM engineers, and application teams to ensure seamless integration with identity services.
    • Support ETL processes, data migrations, and integrations with other enterprise systems.
  • Operations & Support
    • Develop database documentation, operational procedures, and support guides.
    • Provide ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting for the Oracle database environment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database (12c, 19c, or later), including schema design, PL/SQL development, and performance tuning.
  • Proven experience implementing enterprise-scale data models, preferably in identity management, security, or customer data domains.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (relational, dimensional, normalization, indexing strategies).
  • Experience with Oracle performance optimization tools, query tuning, and partitioning.
  • Knowledge of Oracle security features (roles, privileges, auditing, data masking, encryption).
  • Familiarity with ETL, data migration, and integration best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on identity data models or within IAM/IGA solutions (e.g., SailPoint, Oracle Identity, Okta).
  • Exposure to cloud-hosted Oracle databases (OCI, AWS RDS for Oracle, or Azure).
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) in relation to database design and security.
  • Experience with DevOps/automation for Oracle DB (e.g., Liquibase, Flyway, or CI/CD pipelines for DB deployments) #LI-RJ1
