Job Description:
Network Architect / Systems Engineer will be the subject matter expert for architecting, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting enterprise networks in support of common business applications and objectives. The Network Architect will lead the design and implementation of architecture for proposals and/or projects to build or enhance enterprise networks with 1000+ sites and over 50,000 users.
- Responsible for designing, developing and implementing voice switch system plans and networking procedures for NVS facilities.
- Responsible for preparing and supporting on-site surveys of differing facility (ARTCC, TRACON, ATCT) complexities and organizing the results for CDRL approval.
- Responsible for the network architecture design, feasibility and modeling of functional interfaces such as telecom, VOIP, and networking on the Next-Gen Voice Switch.
- Responsible for design, analysis, plans, and modifying network components and/or software by translating customer requirements and objectives into final product design.
- Responsible for developing and evaluate network performance criteria and measurement methods; and preparing the analysis of the short-term or long-term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission and signaling, including installation and transition plans of voice switching network and functionality customized to Voice Switch Enterprise.
Qualifications:
- BSEE, BSCE or BSCS with Networking focus required; or equivalent work experience.
- CCNA certification, or equivalent experience.
- Cisco networking domain knowledge with the ability to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks.
- Strong enterprise network trouble-shooting.
- Domain knowledge of data center design and data center commercial best practices.
- FAA - Public Trust Clearance Required to start
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Ability to interact with customer representatives on a technical level.
• Experience performing iterative peer reviews, updating, and publishing of documentation.
• Provide technical leadership in the installation of systems at customer sites.
