The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of work experience as a .NET Full stack developer
- A solid full stack engineering background with experience in C#, .NET, SQL, TypeScript, and Azure PaaS services.
- Strong experience in developing large-scale web applications and robust high traffic APIs.
- Experienced in building AI-driven user interfaces using modern frameworks (e.g. React, Angular), with real-time interaction powered by LLM backends
- Skilled in prompt engineering and chaining techniques to optimize LLM outputs, including few-shot examples, function calling, and response formatting for production use.
- Uses AI coding copilots (e.g. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate development, reduce boilerplate, and improve code quality.
Role and key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, architects and engineers to design, develop, test and implement solutions.
- Write clean code that is secure, testable and performance oriented using C#, .Net, SQL, TypeScript and Azure technologies.
- Participate in code reviews and peer programming sessions to contribute to the team's overall improvement..
- Communicate with internal enablement teams and third-party vendors to integrate new technologies into the business.
Core skills and knowledge:
- Knowledgeable of software engineering fundamentals from design, coding and testing through to deployment and monitoring.
- Solid understanding of C#, .Net Core, SQL and TypeScript.
- Experience with Azure PaaS services, including: App Services, Functions, Key Vaults, AD/EntraId, B2C, Log Analytics, Hybrid Connections, Express Route, APIM
- Experience with infrastructure as code i.e. ARM / Terraform / Bicep
- Proficient in building front-end web applications using TypeScript with frameworks like Angular or React, including the use of state management libraries.
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Good experience with Database technologies i.e. SQL Server (T-SQL), Oracle (P-SQL), CosmosDB, PostgreSql
- Experience working with CRM platforms and integrating with related APIs, i.e. Dynamics 365, Salesforce.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, with a focus on tracking and improving performance using DORA metrics.
- Applies AI productivity tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot in Microsoft 365) in daily workflows for task automation, documentation, and planning.
- Passionate about creating innovative solutions for the future.
Any other attributes that would be helpful, but not essential for the role:
- Experienced using Azure Devops for planning, building and deploying production code.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an agile team environment.
- Passion for problem solving and enjoyment in dealing with complex technical issues.
- Understanding of ETL automation and use in business processes.
- Good understanding of financial markets and wider Investment banking business.
- Ability to work under pressure and context switch when priority requires.
- Willingness to learn, with a proactive nature in asking questions to expand knowledge.

Skills Required
- Minimum 6+ years experience as a .Net Full Stack developer
- Proficiency in React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience building enterprise software applications
- Experience creating and supporting Azure solutions using C#, API Management, Key Vault, Functions, App Service, CosmosDB, and Storage Account
- Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs and integration patterns
- Familiarity with CI/CD (Azure Pipelines) and version control systems like Git
- Understanding of cloud architecture principles (scalability, load balancing, microservices, distributed systems)
- Experience writing unit tests for UI and API
- Engineering degree (B.E/B.Tech) or postgraduate from a recognized university
- Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional Agile teams
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ownership mentality
- Willingness to travel short-term/long-term to Johannesburg
- Experience developing applications using microservice architecture
- Knowledge of clean code and clean architecture principles
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
- Familiarity with API testing/debugging tools such as Postman or Bruno
- Experience with web API security concepts
- Experience writing unit tests using Jasmin
